What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor?
The primary objective for both Osteopaths and Chiropractors is to relieve aches and pain. Both professions share similar techniques but come about a treatment plan and diagnosis through different routes. When diagnosing patients both professions use observation, visual inspection and palpation (touch) however Chiropractors frequently rely on more diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays, MRI scans, blood test and urine tests, and Osteopaths tend to place more emphasis on the physical examination and will refer patients for diagnostic imaging or testing is required.
